Velka Ida 2016
Last trip before the big summer break!!!!
In Slovakia we had set ourselves goals for our girls this year. So we set off early on Friday morning!! First stage towards Vienna, where we had a short break with Lucas and Karina
and then we drove on together. It was hot and the girls were happy to be able to romp around with the boys again!!! Refreshed, we then continued towards Slovakia in the late afternoon!! We arrived at our hotel late at night. Everyone just wanted to go to bed because we had to get up early in the morning!!
It was already over 20 degrees in the morning, it was going to be a day!!! So we drove to the exhibition grounds!! The show was very well organized so we were soon ready at the ring with all our luggage and tent. With fans, cooling collars and cooling blankets we were able to make it comfortable for our dogs in the tent.
Luckily it was our turn with the beagles first thing in the morning. Everything went well, the girls were able to win their classes!! Goal achieved!! Sunday was therefore just an encore!!! We are so proud of our girls!! Especially Nora, who has been doing a great job recently, including at shows with Michi!! I’m excited to watch her in the ring!! Cassy and Audrey, the experienced riders, also did a great job as always!!! Cassy was able to beat the competition in the champion class this time too!!!
We spent the afternoon with the girls by the water, which Cassy especially loves. So everyone had a great day!!! The evening was then enjoyed with a delicious meal and of course football!! I was dead tired but fell into bed with the girls before it was over!!!
New day, new show!! Audrey and Cassy at the start!! Both with excellent placements!! Audrey again 1st place for Cassy 2nd place and res. CACIB!!! Luckily not so hot today!! Really pleasant!!
Immediately after the judging we set off towards Freilassing!! As always, a bed was waiting for us so that we could then drive the rest of the way on Monday!!!
We were happy to be back home!! It was a long way, but it was worth it!! Slovakia is over for this year!! And we are now looking forward to a summer break!! But we won’t be bored!! We are training hard for the tracking test in August!!
Congratulations again to all the winners, especially Karina and Lucas, on their great success on Sunday with Luke!!!! Well done, we are so happy for you!!!!!
