Almost like in the old days!!!!
Autumn is here and we’ve been traveling almost as often and carefree as before Corona in recent weeks and months! We’re particularly enjoying this time at the moment, as it’s a nice change from everyday life at home.
The highlight was definitely the trip to the Czech Republic for the WDS. We had been looking forward to it for a long time and now the time had finally come. We spent some great days with dear friends in Brno. Curtis competed in a strong Champions class and, in our opinion, presented himself very well. We were very pleased and it was nice to finally see many Beagle breeders from all over Europe again after such a long time. After a day’s break, we registered for the Specialty. Michi and Shelly took a nice second place in the junior class. Only beaten by the pretty daughter Clipsi from Curtis. We were incredibly proud, as she also won the BOS out of 104 beagles. Curtis also won the WDS Specialty Winner title. We were more than satisfied with the competition of dogs entered.
But as soon as we got home, we got busy again. Shelly and Curtis were entered at the Summer and Autumn Show in Fehraltorf. Both times we did not let the victories out of our hands. The two are unstoppable. Shelly has developed into a little showgirl.
Salzburg had been on the agenda for some time and we were looking forward to competing in an international show in Austria again. However, we only entered Curtis and Shelly was there as a spectator. So she was able to get a taste of how it works at such big shows in halls. But she was not impressed. Too bad, we would have entered her.
Curtis ran again on Saturday in top show condition up to BIG 2!!! People are already saying that he has booked this position for himself!!! At this point a big thank you to Desiree Huber. Thanks to her Curtis is in such great shape at the moment. She was also very happy about the judge’s report from Saturday. The judge wrote: “It is a pleasure to see this dog in movement!!!! These words made us very happy and confirmed us in our work.
Curtis now has a few more appearances in Junior Handling. He has turned a few girls’ heads and is now allowed to train with them a little and take part in shows. This project came about through our friendship with Laura Hitz. We spent some wonderful days in Brno and some crazy adventures are already planned. We are really looking forward to it.
Now we are enjoying the coming weeks. There will be no boredom. Some shows have already been announced and now it’s time to prepare well for them. Seeing you all there again soon makes the anticipation even greater.
See you soon!!!
