Brackier tests 2015
Beagles and their passion
Since the ABC hunting days in Wenns, we have been gripped by hunting fever!!! So we decided to drive with our girls and Duke to Fels am Wagram in Austria!!!! The facilities and bracken tests were coming up!!!
It started early on Friday morning!! The first stop was at the Eberle family. Hans and Denise accompanied us to the tests with Duke!! Our three girls were with us!! Unfortunately Audrey was only there as a spectator this time as she already had the test!! After a long but fun drive, we arrived at the base in the evening. Here we met for dinner together the evening before the test. Tired from the long drive, however, we soon fell into bed.
It started early in the morning!!! At half past seven we met and registered so that we could then drive together to the gunshot test. All three passed this without any problems, so we set off in our groups towards the fields!! The test ended at 1 p.m.!!!
This was the routine on all test days!! We experienced many exciting and wonderful hours in nature. It was very impressive that unfortunately the hunting instinct and tracking ability of many dogs is no longer as strong. This is certainly a very important finding for us breeders! We urgently need to encourage hunting instincts and take them into account in our matings so that the Beagle remains such a passionate hunter in the future.
Once again, it was a wonderful few days in Austria!! The weather couldn’t have been better, with plenty of sun the whole time!!! Despite being very nervous, we enjoyed the test days and laughed a lot!!! We’re looking forward to seeing you again soon at the Austrian Beagle Club!!!
Our girls achieved the following results!!
Alotorius Old Glory I See Fire “Cassy” passed the aptitude test as an individual test and the aptitude test for the practical test!!! This means she is also entitled to start in the working dog class. The second part of the practical test must then be passed next year in the form of the tracking test!!!
FontePosca’s American Pie “Nora” passed the tracking test that is required for the practical test. She will have the pleasure of taking the tracking test again next year, as the tracking and tracking tests must each be passed within a year!!!
Then very proud!!!!!
Golden Swissline Grand Athavar “Duke” passed the aptitude test as an individual test and the aptitude test for the practical test twice!!!!
Such great successes from our own offspring make us as breeders particularly proud!!! Many thanks to the Eberle family for allowing Duke to live out his passion for hunting in this way!!! We are already looking forward to the next adventure, the tracking test next year!!!
From now on we will record the successes of our offspring in a separate section!!!!
