Bundessiegerschau Tulln 2017
We had wanted to take part in this show with Cassy for a long time. Unfortunately, the dates never worked out for us. Last year, the focus was on the hunting tests and so we were probably in Tulln, but with the dogs in the hunting ground and not at the show. This year should be different. We were determined to do so. It almost fell through again, as I had the big annual branch manager meeting from work that very weekend. Fortunately, this took place on Friday and the national show on Sunday. So we decided to set off on Saturday after I’d had a good night’s sleep, as the conferences are always a lot of fun.
We loaded up all the dogs and set off for Tulln. We had already arranged to meet up with the eastern regional group for dinner. We were particularly pleased to see our Lewis again this weekend. Alfred and Kerstin were already waiting for us. The joy of seeing each other again was great and the little siblings Lewis and Diana had a lot of fun. We had a great time over a pleasant meal. Before we drove to the hotel where we checked into our rooms and of course had a nightcap at the bar. There were also a few people staying at the hotel who, like us last year, were going to take the welding test. This included Alfred and Kerstin with Louie.
In the morning we had breakfast together and then drove off towards Tulln!!!
Alfred and Lewis accompanied us to the show and Kerstin and Louie drove to the test.
When we arrived at the show, we met Christine, Lucas and Karina. We were looking forward to a fun day.
The little ones Lewis and Diana did a great job. It was their first time at a big show, but they were not intimidated. We are so proud of both of them!!!!
Many dogs were registered, so we had to wait a long time with Cassy for the assignment. But then it all happened in quick succession. Cassy once again ran like on rails and convinced the judge of her qualities. I was amazed at how the little witch can wrap everyone around her finger again and again in the ring.
Cassy wins the Champions Class and CACIB, making her Bundessieger 2017!!! Best Bitch also belongs to her and in the end the witch wins BOB from over 40 registered beagles. We were speechless!!! Nobody would have expected that, with this really strong competition!!!
We first had to make some phone calls to organize that we would probably come home a little later. It was not possible for us to be at work at 6am on Monday. Fortunately this was not a problem and we could look forward to the ring of honor.
In the meantime, Kerstin has also joined us and happily informed us that she has passed the sweat test and thus the working test with Louie with an excellent 1st prize. Congratulations, well done you two!!!
Then it was finally time for group 6 to enter the ring. Cassy ran in, it was so great! And again she could convince the judge which brought her the fantastic 2nd place in group 6. Unbelievable!!!!
With a big trophy and full of pride we made our way home. We arrived back in Sulgen in the middle of the night, or rather early in the morning.
It was a great weekend with many dear friends. Thank you so much for always supporting us so well!!!
Now there is a little break for us before we hopefully see many of you again in Leipzig at the WDS. We are looking forward to seeing you!!!!
