European Dog Show 2019

European Junior Winner for Golden Swissline

The preparations for our trip to Wels in June 2019 have been going on for a long time. The dogs have been entered and we have booked our hotel. It should be something very special as we want to show our own offspring for the first time at such a big show. So nothing was left to chance. The dogs were all well trained and in great condition. Except for our Cassy, who thought she would be pregnant a few days before the show. What the heck. She’s already a pro and was allowed to come along anyway.

So we drove towards Rüthi SG, packed with 5 dogs. Two very important travel companions were waiting for us there. Yvonne and Spike will accompany us this weekend. We were really looking forward to it. So our van was full to the brim!!!!! 6 dogs and three people, there wasn’t much space left.

We arrived at the hotel on Thursday evening without much traffic. Familiar faces were already waiting there and we spent a nice evening with good food and a game of skittles.

We left early in the morning for the fair. We were expecting a lot of exhibitors and dogs and didn’t know what to expect until then. Luckily we were there early. We were lucky and got to the site without any major incidents. An hour later, however, there were terrible scenes at the entrances. The crowd was building up and the temperatures were pushing people and their dogs into the hall. Unfortunately, this was the downside of the weekend. The organization should have been better. Just like the rings on Sunday were really a joke!!! You could hardly run a lap with your dog. They were that small!!! But apart from that we can’t complain!!! Because we haven’t written anything about the results yet.

Yes, what can I say. We are still speechless!!!

It all started on Friday: Austria Winner Show

Our Curtis wins the title Austria Junior Winner and the JBOB, which gave us the opportunity to run in the great ring of honor. It was really something special at such a big show!!! And the little man was also selected from so many junior dogs among the last 6!!!!

Also our offspring, Toffee, Diana and Billy were excellent and Diana could even get a V2 res. CAC in a strong open class, and Toffee an Excellent 3!!!

Despite everything, Cassy achieved a great and excellent third place. I’m proud of her!

After such a success you enjoy the following days even more. What else is there to come! We have achieved everything! We ran in the ring of honor and Curtis won the class and a title.

Saturday belonged only to the dogs. We spent it at the beautiful Attersee. The dogs bathed and we enjoyed a great traditional meal in an inn.

European Dog Show!!!

Sunday started early in the morning. We already had to pack everything up again. After the show we had to head straight home.

So we were at the show early and without stress in the area. There were lots of friends there again and, as so often, we had a great time. But then we had to concentrate fully. Curtis and Toffee were the first. In Toffee’s class 25 bitches!!! It was amazing, what a competition. Everyone who had rank and name was represented. She did a great job with Michi and was in the race for a long time. Unfortunately it was just not enough for a placement.

Curtis had 18 males in the competition and had to be the first to run. As always, he was very focused and well-behaved! He ran, stood and waited well. It went on and on and on. Curtis was in first position and the judge hardly looked at Curtis. He swapped second and third back and forth until he let us all run again!!! And then it happened. He ran up to me and shook my hand. I was shocked!!!! What, how, where, Curtis place one. I ran out of the ring as if in a dream! Where many friends were already waiting to congratulate me.

It’s still like a dream!!! We have bred a JEuW!!! Unbelievable!!!

In the BOB Curtis showed his best again. He was strongly cheered on from the outside and on top of that he got the JBOB!!!!!!!

After the ring of honor we finally left for Switzerland at about 8 pm.

It’s time to say thank you to everyone who gave us such great support on Sunday. To those who were a great help from the outside in the ring. All those who believed in Curtis. Those who put up with me and Michi when our nerves got the better of us. Thank you so much!!!

A big thank you to Magdalena Budkowska and her family for their trust in us!!! ZEUS was the best decision, we are incredibly proud and happy!!!!!

Many thanks to our puppy buyer, Miriam Henrichs, who is going through this madness with us. Giving us her Toffee. We are incredibly proud of her!!! Also a big thank you to Susanne and Erika. Billy has mastered it as always. On Sunday even spontaneously performed by Lucas. Thank you very much.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon. We are now enjoying our vacation. But the next shows are already booked!!!
