Hail to the hunter
An exciting week with our girls is behind us
Our journey to Innsbruck started on Friday evening!! We had registered our girls for the IHA Innsbruck!! It was going to be a great weekend!!
We met up with our friends from Switzerland, Marc and Christine with their male dog Jeffrey, on Saturday morning!! We spent a great day at the exhibition together, where our dogs had a lot of fun and presented themselves well!! In the evening we were invited to a cozy dinner where many Beagle friends from ABC were there. There was a lot of laughter and a really good meal!! So that we fell into bed refreshed and tired!!
Sunday was also a great day with our girls achieving excellent placings!!! We are proud of all three of them!!
Immediately after the award ceremony we set off for Wenns!!! The ABC of the hunting training days was already waiting for us for dinner!!! We waited excitedly for Duke, a son of Audrey, who will be spending the days with us!! The beagle and the owner were very happy and we are great
The next few days were all about hunting!!! Three days in which our beagles were able to pursue their passion. Primal instincts were awakened and it was fascinating to see how their performance improved from day to day. The morning always began with an obedience lesson followed by shooting training!! After that our beagles were slowly introduced to the game!! This was gradually increased over the days until we were all able to complete a blood trail on Wednesday!! It is unbelievable what we have achieved in these days, but the best thing was seeing how peacefully they fell into their basket (bed) in the evening!!! Dead tired from all the new impressions!!
At this point we would like to say a big thank you to ABC!! Especially to Xandy and Sebastian!! As always, it was an unforgettable day for all of us!! We have caught the hunting bug!!! Now we are training to take part in the tests next year. The first tests are already in October. We will be travelling all together from Switzerland!!! We are already looking forward to sitting together and having a wonderful time with our darlings.
We ended the week with the double Cacib show in Bratislava, where we were able to record another success with Cassy and a new Junior Champion title. More under Exhibitions Cassy!!
Our vacation showed us one thing and that makes us incredibly proud!!! We not only have great show beagles but also three hunting dogs who love to hunt!! We want to encourage this and give the girls the opportunity!!
