Off to Lithuania
We and our friends have long known that we are a bit crazy. But this trip was a challenge for us too. Everything was a bit spontaneous, but what don’t you do to see dear friends and our Curtis’ offspring again?
So we set off early Wednesday evening. We drove through the night, which turned out to be a very good decision. We arrived in Vilnius shortly after midday and still had enough time to take the dogs for a walk before we fell into bed dead tired. The next day the first show started and we were very excited.
As we didn’t have to start with the beagles until midday, we were able to take it easy. The show was well organized and the catalog promised an exciting weekend. We were already looking forward to meeting Curtis’ son who was going to run at a show for the first time.
Slowly the other exhibitors arrived and of course we were very happy to meet Justina again.
The little man has developed very well and Curtis is very proud of his offspring. On Saturday, two more siblings visited us at the show. They were all very happy to meet their father. We were also able to present the families with a gift from Curtis to his children. In the evening, we went out for dinner together in a great restaurant. After two days, we were already able to celebrate three champions, so the trip was definitely worthwhile in all respects. Curtis’ children also celebrated great successes. We were even able to toast a BEST IN SHOW PUPPY 3! We were so proud and very happy for the owners.
Sunday was rather modest in terms of results, but we took the opportunity to have another look at Vilnius. Many thanks to Julija for the great tour.
We headed home early on Monday morning. A small detour was planned to take care of something important before heading home to Switzerland on Tuesday.
Here are our results from this great weekend.
