Toffee rocks Kreuzlingen
New Youth Champion title for Golden Swissline
The beginning of August is always the time for Kreuzlingen! After a summer break in July, we were looking forward to this show all the more.
This time, however, we had a slightly different agenda. We made our way to Kreuzlingen in the morning with just Toffee. At the CACIB show in the morning, we agreed to take over the ring activities. So our own dogs had to stay at home. Toffee had to come with us, as we still had a goal to achieve with the sweet mouse. And she is not in our possession. So a few weeks before the show I was already thinking about who would take over Toffee’s handling. As I had already noticed Laura Hitz very positively in Aarau, I spontaneously wrote to her and so everything took its course!!! It was the best decision we could have made. Toffee and Laura were such a great team!
In the morning they won the JBOB and on top of that the Alpenjugend Sieger and the Crufts quali for 2020!!!! What a success!!! We were over the moon!!! So she fulfilled all the requirements for the Swiss Junior Champion which we could also apply for on the spot. We are so proud that after Curtis, Toffee from the C-litter can now also carry her first champion title!!!!
We spent the afternoon with many beagle friends in our garden! So the dogs could play and we could eat. After a delicious sausage and cool drinks, we headed back towards Kreuzlingen. Now it was time to exhibit ourselves! That’s why Cassy accompanied us, as she was still pursuing a goal. But more about that in another post.
As always, the two showed themselves from their best side! Cassy once again got the Bob and Toffee secured the JBOB again. After the judging we had to go straight over to the hall. The ring of honor started soon. Laura and Toffee started with Junior Best In Show. To great applause and with a large fan club, Laura took Toffee to a sensational 2nd place!!! We were speechless!!!!!!!!!!!
Then Cassy followed and probably thought, what my daughter can do, I can do for a long time and also ran to 2nd place in the FCI Group 6!!!
Overjoyed, but also tired, we drove home around 8 pm.
We would like to thank Miriam Hennrichs from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the opportunity to show Toffee in Switzerland and Austria. We are incredibly proud of this dog and happy to have found the perfect home for her. Now the time has come to say goodbye. Toffee is going home!!! With a champion title in her pocket and I think many great impressions and an exciting time with her brother!!!! Curtis will certainly miss her terribly, as we are already struggling with it.
But we are really looking forward to the reunion and the birthday party!!!
See you soon in Germany!!!!!!
